The state-of-the-art facility, which includes a dedicated DigiHub, is designed to provide a conducive and modern learning environment, directly addressing classroom shortages and expanding opportunities for digital literacy.
In her welcome address, school principal Anthonette Lampa expressed the school’s gratitude, stating the building “symbolizes hope and progress.”
She emphasized the transformative potential of the DigiHub, which will “open more doors for digital learning, collaborative activities, and skill-building that can uplift families and the community over time.”
The event culminated in the signing of a Deed of Donation, formally transferring the building to the Schools Division Office of Tarlac Province.
Representatives from SM Foundation, Rina Castro, SM City Tarlac manager, and Carmen Linda Atayde, Executive Director for Education Programs, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to its core pillar of education.
Echoing the day’s theme of educational investment, Concepcion Mayor Noel Villanueva commended the SM Foundation’s initiative, stating that “investments in education are investments in community progress.”
Villanueva’s administration has demonstrated a parallel commitment to supporting students through the privately funded Concepcion Scholarship Foundation and the local government’s financial assistance. These programs provide critical financial assistance to deserving students, ensuring that qualified learners can pursue their academic ambitions regardless of their families’ economic situation.
The mayor’s presence at the SM turnover underscored a unified front between the private sector and the LGU in prioritizing education.
