TARLAKENYO (Sept. 30, 2025) – NLEX Corporation has announced a substantial P200 million investment in technological upgrades for the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) designed to create a safer, faster, and more reliable travel experience for motorists along the 94-kilometer tollway.
The comprehensive upgrade includes the installation of additional CCTV cameras and speed cameras to bolster traffic monitoring and enforce stricter road discipline. The project will modernize computer systems and equipment to improve data processing and elevate the overall customer experience.
“The system enhancement program in SCTEX is essential not only for ensuring faster and smoother travel, but also for enforcing stricter road discipline,” stated NLEX President and General Manager, Luis Reñon. “These upgrades will significantly improve the safety and reliability of the road network, boosting motorists’ confidence.”
In addition to the technological enhancements, NLEX is undertaking significant infrastructure projects. These include the company’s annual pavement repair program and the ongoing repair and strengthening of the Pasig–Potrero Bridge, a project in partnership with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
Routine maintenance, such as tree trimming, road signage upkeep, repainting, and drainage cleaning, is also a key part of NLEX Corporation’s commitment to providing a seamless and safe journey for all motorists.
