Wages Board sets public hearings on salary increase

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (August 21, 2025) — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – III (RTWPB-III) has public hearings scheduled next month to review and determine the minimum wage rates for private sector employees and domestic workers in Central Luzon.

The first hearing will be held on September 3, 2025, at the SMX Olongapo City Convention Center in Zambales, covering the provinces of Bataan and Zambales.

This will be followed on September 9, 2025, at the Old SP Hall, Tarlac Capitol in Tarlac City, for stakeholders from Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.

The third hearing is set on September 11, 2025, at AMCO Beach Resort in Baler, Aurora, while the final consultation will take place on September 16, 2025, at the CDC Training Hall, Health and Sanitation Department, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, for the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga.

Except for the Pampanga hearing which will start at 8:00 a.m., all consultations are scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Board emphasized that wage determination is a matter of public concern, underscoring the importance of inclusive discussions where labor groups, business enterprises, and government representatives can equally express their views.

“These efforts reflect our commitment to protect workers from unjust wages while balancing the socio-economic factors that influence wage setting,” the RTWPB-III said in its statement.

Currently, the prevailing wage order in the region is Wage Order No. RBIII-25, which took effect on October 17, 2024. This order implemented a two-tranche wage adjustment that raised the daily minimum wage of private workers across Central Luzon by P50 to P66.
