TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (July 28, 2025) — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has extended tax filing and payment deadlines for areas impacted by tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong, along with the habagat.
Among the affected provinces is Tarlac, where taxpayers now have until July 31 to submit returns, settle taxes, and file required documents.
The relief measure also applies to taxpayers in Pampanga, Zambales, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, and Metro Manila that were recently hit by severe weather.
BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. emphasized the agency’s commitment to easing taxpayer burdens during challenging times.
“We understand the challenges that come with severe weather conditions. Part of our drive for Excellent Taxpayer Service is listening and adjusting to the realities faced by taxpayers. Stay safe, prioritize your families and loved ones. The BIR will be moving the deadline to July 31,” Lumagui said.
Other covered areas include the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Cagayan and Western Visayas. The BIR also noted that if the new deadline falls on a holiday, the next working day will be considered the due date.
This extension applies to taxpayers and BIR personnel under affected Revenue District Offices, as well as transactions processed through Authorized Agent Banks.
The move aims to provide flexibility for those recovering from recent weather-related disruptions.
