Concepcion LGU brings Wi-Fi connectivity to BSANHS

CONCEPCION, Tarlac (December 4, 2024) – In a move to boost education in the municipality, the local government unit of Concepcion has equipped Benigno S. Aquino National High School (BSANHS) with free Wi-Fi connectivity, providing students and teachers with better access to online resources and digital tools for learning.

Mayor Noel Villanueva emphasized the importance of technology in empowering students to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.

“The future of Concepcion lies in the hands of our youth. Equipping our schools with the tools they need, such as reliable internet, opens doors for opportunities and innovation.

“Education is a top priority for this administration, and we will continue to invest in initiatives that empower our young learners and educators,” mayor Villanueva said.

The Wi-Fi installation is part of a broader program aimed at integrating technology into the classroom, enabling students to access online educational materials, collaborate on projects, and gain digital literacy skills. Teachers have also expressed their gratitude, as the connectivity allows for easier implementation of blended learning approaches and access to professional development resources.

“We’re so thankful for the initiative of Mayor Noel Villanueva,” said a teacher who declined to be identified.

“It will make a huge difference in how we teach and how our students learn. The internet is now a necessity, and having this access will enable us to keep up with the demands of modern education,” the BSANHS Grade 9 teacher added.

Each student can go online using the free Wi-Fi for two hours daily.

The initiative has drawn praise from parents and local stakeholders, who see it as a step toward closing the digital divide and improving the quality of education in the municipality.

Mayor Villanueva assured the community that this is just the beginning.

“We are committed to ensuring that all schools in Concepcion have access to the resources they need. Education is the foundation of progress, and we will not waver in our efforts to uplift it,” the local chief executive said.
