DPWH completes two projects in Concepcion, Victoria

CONCEPCION, Tarlac (October 27, 2024) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a farm-to-market road in Barangay San Isidro here.

The P9.9-million, 310-meter road will provide farmers and residents with an alternate route for transportation. It also connects San Isidro to Barangay Talimundoc Marimla.

According to the DPWH, the new road incorporates essential features aimed at improving agricultural productivity like the three 610-millimeter cross-drain pipes strategically installed to provide local farmers with access to irrigation water.

Meanwhile, in Victoria town, the agency also announced the completion of a one-story multipurpose building in Barangay Lalapac, which now serves as a daycare center.

The P4.9-million facility has a disability ramp, air conditioners, a kitchenette, a storage room for students’ bags and school supplies, an office, and a restroom — all on a 120 sqm. land.

The DPWH said the facility was constructed on a vacant lot beside the barangay hall and funded under the agencyā€™s Basic Infrastructure Program in the 2024 national budget.
