CONCEPCION, Tarlac (May 9, 2024) — The only Overseas Workers Welfare Administration ‘At Your Service’ (AYOS) truck in Luzon was showcased here yesterday.

The AYOS Truck initiative is a major step in providing support to OFWs and their families during crises. These multipurpose vehicles serve as mobile support units, equipped with essential facilities to meet the immediate needs during natural disasters.

This milestone visit to Concepcion signifies a significant step in extending OWWA’s reach to communities across the Philippines.

The vehicle made its appearance during the ‘Parokya ng OWWA’ program in this town. OWWAโ€™s ‘Parokya’ program empowers overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families right at their doorsteps, engaging with them in conversations and offering practical assistance as they venture into barangays with a mission to uplift OFW communities and create lasting change.

There is only one AYOS truck per the three island groups – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – and they will serve as beacons of assistance during times of distress for OFWs and their families.
